Our Environment

We live in a beautiful and special environment, which includes Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONBs), Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs), and historical Conservation Areas.

The Rivers Wye, Lugg, Frome, the Pentaloe and Checkley Brooks, and the wonderful Haugh Woods, provide us with opportunities for lovely walks, birdwatching, identifying trees, flowers and animals, which may not be seen in other places.

We have footpaths and bridleways which are either maintained by the Parish Council or the Landowner.
